GP Physiotherapy is committed to provide the best standard of care and practice as well as respecting and committing to protect your personal data. The privacy of your treatment record and the data that I hold will be protected and used in strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

As a Physiotherapist I am required legally to collect a certain amount of data relating to you, the client. This information is processed as a medical record. I will ensure that your data which is collected, held and transferred, is done so in line with GDPR “Good Practice Guidelines”. I have a legal obligation to keep medical records for a certain amount of time after which they will be destroyed in line with medical data practice. I will not share any data with external marketing agencies.

What is my personal data used for?

Personal data we collect is used to provide you with our services and effective clinical care. Your data will also be used for communication between us including confirmation of appointments, sending exercise or treatment plans and other communication about our services. We may need to contact your GP, consultant or other healthcare professionals about your health for example to request further investigations or onwards referral.
